Christmas 2006

Well before we knew it christmas was upon us! We thought we'd got on top of things and started our christmas shopping early, but somehow all good intentions never work out and we still felt rushed towards the end! This was Joe's second christmas, although last year he was so young, im sure he didn't know what was going on! This time was different, and since his birthday, he certainly had learnt about pretty coloured wrapping paper and that if you pull it, you're most likely to find a toy underneath, or some perfume depending on who's present you open! We visited Nanny And Grandad Wickhams first, and had christmas number one. We really had great fun and Joseph loved it. We visited father christmas at the garden centre, which although fun for us, im not sure he got it!! but then he gave him chocolate and Joe was happy!! Surprisingly he didnt go for the christmas tree, we were so sure it was going to be the centre of attention and most probably get pulled down, But we were wrong, I think he only went over it a few times, and they were on bauble hunting missions (and we all know the only thing to do with a bauble once you've tracked and caught it, is to eat it!!) Fortunately we pounced before the bauble fought back! So lots of fun in Bromsgrove, including christmas dinner number one! (I love christmas!!)

Then on the 23rd it was the big drive down to Winchester (via a quick stop in at Thornbury) to visit Nanny and Grandad Pierson. Once again we had a great time visiting the park, playing with bubble machines, and opening more presents on christmas day! By this point, Joe had really got the hang of it! Joe received a toy garage from us for christmas, which he's just getting the hang of playing with, although he much more enjoys sitting on the top of it! And of course we had another christmas dinner! All all good!

Ive got some video of christmas, but havnt had the chance to edit it yet, when i have i'll put it up.

Then it was a drive back up to Bristol on Boxing day ready for the early morning flight to Espania!!

Joe's Birthday Part 2 & 3!

Ok heres begins lots of updates!!!! We asked Joe what he would like to do for his birthday, we offered him trips to disney, A day in the worlds biggest toy shop and a trip to the moon on virgin galactics beta mission, but he said he just wanted his friends round for a right old fun filled party, so who were we to complain! So all his mates came round and played and then we sang Happy Birthday and had cake made by Zoe. A big laughing clown which Joe loved and wanted to grab constantly! He gots lots of lovely presents as well, and we got him a new trike which whenever he see's we wants to jump on and get pushed around!, all in all a really fun day which ended in a trip to sleepy ol bedfordshire!

Later on that week we had the third part of Joe's birthday, again we asked him what he wanted to do, offering him everything once again, but he said the only thing he wanted was for his nannys, grandads, uncles, aunts, cousins, great grandmas and great uncles to come round and play! Well this sounded reasonable, so invited them all over on the basis that they behaved themselves and didnt get too over excited! Once again we had a great day, lots of presents and party food, and another singing session with another great clown cake! Jospeh really enjoyed himself and so did we! But again the day was nearing it's end and headed off to bedfordshire (he commutes there a lot!!)

its been a long time but we're still here!!

hi everyone, really sorry for the lack of posting recently, we have been up to loads of things though! A few weeks back we went on holiday to north cornwall. We had a really great week, with great weather, Joe has decided that he really enjoys the beach, eating more sand and sea water!!! We would post some pictures, however our camera died on us! its really gutting as i love to take pictures of him growing up, but never mind, we'll get it sorted as soon as we can. Joe is doing really well, he's pulling himself up onto everything, and crawling properly now, weve got to really keep an eye him constantly!! its great seeing him learn and grow and discover new things. Today we went to visit nanny & grandad wickham and great grandma waters, and managed to borrow their camera to get some shots!! yey!! so here they are - enjoy!

Great Grandma Waters & Joe

"Where's nanny gone?"

Yep, he's crawling!

Nanny always wanted a train set, she never got one, but she's making up for it by 'choo chooing' joe round on a tray! Choo Choo!!

hey hey!!

Well once again were making another excuse for not posting anything for a long time, we're really sorry! Things have been quite hectic over the last month, and still are really, but we thought we'd try and update you quickly! Joseph is doing really well, he's growing all the time, sitting up really well, and dribbling everywhere! Those little teeth are very close to popping through, and he's certainly telling us about it! We've just come back from swimming at the local leisure centre, which he really enjoys, we try and go as often as we can. Today he went 'under' for the first time (deliberatly!) and well he wasn't too keen, but he definatly loves splashing around in the pool! I'm still out on tour with Luv Esther, although there haven't been too many gigs recently, but its going really well, and when im not out I'm in the office working on various videos and dvds for ngm and Inspire. Zoe has been working really hard in the Luv Esther project managment team and her main role as directors assistant. She really enjoys it, even though it can be very challenging some times! Anyway, here are a few pictures of us, and a recent trip down to Winchester to see Nanny and Grandad! Enjoy!

Am I delirious?

Well today i took a trip to Little Littlehampton in wonderful west sussex, to help film the band Delirious? for their backing video on tour, with world famous, professional film producer Dave Neal. We set off at 5am, to miss the traffic, and got down there about 7.45 about time to try out the local McDonalds for a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. I've decided that these are too manufactured for my liking, and a bit plastic, would have been better off with the roll version, but you live and learn. We got into the venue about 8.15, which was just a local village hall, but turned out to be a great place for what we needed it for. Basically the days shoot was all on green screen, which basically means that's we film the band in front of a big green screen and then add in backgrounds etc.. later in the edit. It turned out to be a fun day, with the band being a great laugh and constantly feeding us coffee! always helpful! Anyway after a long day and four songs recorded, it was time to head home. Quite an exciting day. Too tired to type now, here's a badly taken picture on my mobile, sorry, all that coffee gave me the shakes.

And here's a link to my head on the delirious website. If id thought about it then i would have taken another camera and done a short docu on the day, never mind, heres a funny little movie that the d:boys recorded-> www.delirious.co.uk/web_mov/stu_dizzy2.mov

Glimpse's of Heaven

Last week we were visited by a guy called Ian Andrews and his wife. He came to lead through the NGM January conference, he's seen so many things happen in his life, and God has worked so much through him to see loads and loads of people healed. Anyway, one of the evenings we were encouraged to sit back, close our eyes, and let God show us a glimpse of Heaven. Now im sure this was an excuse to let our imaginations run wild, but God created our imaginations, and I know He loves us, so I was really interested to see what He would say to me. So here is what I saw...

As i closed my eyes, I was in a huge cobled square, i couldnt see the edge of it, it was so big. In the middle of the square was an old well, and next to it was standing Jesus. He had a big smile on His face, more so he was happy, laughing, like a good friend. I walked over to Him and he started to wind up the pail from deep in the well. When it got to the top it was overflowing with a thick gold liquid. He turned and looked at me with a 'knowing' smile and took a goblet and dived it into the bucket filling the goblet up letting the liquid splash over the edge. He handed it to me, and encouraged me to drink, and to drink well. When i did i could feel the liquid spreading throughout me, making me feel so good, so connected with God, So happy about everything. I looked up at Jesus and expected Him to move on to speak to someone else. But He didnt, he stayed. He wanted to be with me. thats what hit me the most about all this. He wasnt in a hurry to go off and speak to toher people, to go and do something else. He wanted to be with me, all of I know its a cliche, i know youve probably heard it all before, "Jesus wants to be my friend and never leave me" but its so true. And He showed me that even more on that night. It reminded me of when Joseph was born actually. When we went into the hospital on the sunday we were put on a ward, untill it was time to go up to delivery suite. We were there for two and a half days, but the it felt really difficult mainly because it was so hard to get hold of anyone to come over and help us. the midwife would come and check every now and again, make sure Zoe was comfortabe, no issues, help if we needed it, but would then dissapear. If there wasa problem, I had to run round half the hospital trying to find the right midwife, who even when i did find her, would take another ten minutes to get round to you. The difference came when we went onto delivery suite. Suddenly withour us asking the was a midwife there for us all of the time sat next to us, constantly checking Zoe was ok, never leaving the room, it was such a relief and so good to know that we were being card for and looked after. When God showed me the well, and Jesus there, that was the instant feeling I got, i remembered the hospital, and Nina the midwife. And i know God is like that, He wont ever leave me, He is there for me all the time, when im happy or sad, when im pee'd off and angry with him, whenever, i know he's always there, always wanting my attention, always wanting to help me in any situation that im in. And that is such a cool feeling, to really know that your loved, that your cared for.

There endeth my little speil for the day!

Have a good one!
